Welcome to the FrakNet IRC Network. We try to be a different chat network, as you shall see.

First, we aim to provide a reliable chat experience, which includes doing our best to keep the servers from splitting, keeping lag to a minimum, and providing ways to deal with any downtime we may face. However, we can't make any guarantees. These things are what we want to do, not what we can do. Therefore, instead of claiming lag-free and split-free chat as other networks do, we try our best to provide these things, but sometimes the circumstances are out of our hands.

Second, our site is still being worked on, mostly in the content department, so don't be terribly suprised if most of the navbar links don't work.

Lastly, if you happen to be the administrator of a website with some sort of online following, and might consider using FrakNet for your site's chat room, we'd be happy to personally help you get established and make sure the transition is a smooth one. If this is of interest, please contact ocean (at) fraknet.org.

We are also partnered with the Succuba IRC Network, which you can reach by clicking here.

Thank you for visiting FrakNet. We hope that you'll join us in chat.

You can access the server function by clicking "GPG Key Server" under "Projects" in the navbar, or by going here.

PGP/GPG Public Keys posted by ocean at 02:33:18 PM PST, 06/02/03
Working on a system where users with logins can post their PGP/GPG public keys for other users to download. Not sure how long it'll take, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Ok, so maybe not 1.21 gigawatts... posted by ocean at 01:36:13 PM PST, 05/21/03
But it's close! I have new 1.5mbit/768kbit DSL to run this server and other stuff.

1.21 Gigawatts posted by noodle at 09:30:54 PM PST, 05/16/03
Now faster than ever, ocean.ca.us is on a new connection and should be able to handle more users than ever.

Cookie DB Emptied posted by ocean at 04:51:16 PM PST, 03/19/03
I emptied the cookie database today, so you'll have to go here to unset any that may have been saved on your system.

IRC Games. posted by noodle at 08:13:47 PM PST, 02/18/03
Serveral channels have been created as game channels. #Acronym for acro, #trivia for trivia, and of course, #hangman for hangman. Enjoy.
