Policies on FrakNet:
1. Distribution of illegal pornography is not allowed, and abusers will be subject to a permanent K-Line without warning. This explicitly includes child pornography, but does not exclude all other forms. If a user is found to be distributing this material individually, the user will be K-Lined for 3 months. If a channel is established for this purpose, the channel will be closed and the owner given a 30 day K-Line, unless the owner is also distributing illegal pornographic material, in which case they will receive a K-Line for 4 months. The legal consequences of distributing this material is outlined in term one (1) of the network terms of service.
2. DDoS bots, or other methods of attacking computer users, are also not allowed. We will report violations to the proper authorities in this case.
3. Spambots are vehemently denied access and will never be allowed on FrakNet.
Terms of Service:
Users of FrakNet automatically agree to the following terms at the time of connection to any server on the network.
1. Users will indemnify FrakNet against any form of prosecution or lawsuit that results from the actions of said users. Users hold full responsibility for their own actions while connected to FrakNet. In addition, indemnification applies not only to the network as a whole but to the individual administrators and operators.
2. Collection of information about users, directly or indirectly, by any government agency on the local, county, state, national, or international level, is strictly prohibited and will result in prosecution by FrakNet. This can be seen in more detail in term three (3) of the network terms of service below.
FrakNet, as a network and individually, abides by these terms when dealing with users:
1. FrakNet will not give IP addresses ("IPs"), nickname information, personal information, logs, or any other material which may implicate a user of any criminal activity to any government agency without a court order and sufficiant documentation. The extent of FrakNet's cooperation in the case of a court order and documentation is defined in term four (4). This includes any government agency on the local, county, state, national, or international level ("agencies"). This term becomes void if the user in question is a member of any agencies and acting on their behalf.
2. FrakNet is wholly unresponsible for the actions of users, including any activity that violates local, county, state, national, or international laws (hereby refered to as "laws"). This includes file sharing of all forms, but does not exclude any other illegal activity. FrakNet is responsible for dealing with users in violation of any laws internally, whilst still being bound by term one (1) of network operation.
3. Any intrusion of privacy made by any agencies will not be tolerated by FrakNet, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Records of IP addresses, nicknames, personal information, logs, and all other information will be used to prosecute the individual(s) responsible for the intrusion as well as the agency itself.
4. If FrakNet is served with a court order for logs and information about a user, we will attempt to notify the user using any means possible, including contacting those who know the user to obtain said user's e-mail address for notification. If an e-mail is obtained, it must also be given as information in compliance with the court order.
Lastly, the Policies and/or Terms of Service are subject to change at any time without notice.
